Facebook

So I have decided to take a break from Facebook and Twitter. Let me be sure to say, that I see nothing wrong with either one of these ways of technology. It is just what I need in my personal life. I have thoroughly enjoyed re-connecting with friends and family and have loved the outpouring of prayers and encouragement that I have received. But through time in the Word and after some frustrations. I just felt it was time to check my priorities. The thought that keeps coming to my mind is something that my SS teacher shared several months ago and that was, "Throughout my day, what do I spend the most time on? Is it time in God's Word or is there something else that I give more attention to?" The Lord gave me a wonderful verse in my time with Him and I just took that as confirmation.

Romans 12 (The Message)
Place Your Life Before God
1-2 So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you," develops well-formed maturity in you.

I am not saying, that I will not be back to FB and Twitter, but I am more excited to see what God is going to do in my life and then in the lives of others. I received an e-mail this morning from Lisa who is the Women's Ministry Director at TRBC after she had visited my FB page and she stated the following:

"Never forget the importance - the eternal impact - and the influence you have as a wife and mom. You have a high calling. The Lord will bless you for keeping His priorities."

I thank you in advance for your prayers. So, with all that said, I have been asked, "Where will I get to see all your pictures?" So for now, this is where I will be loading them. If you are at all interested, I will do my best to keep you updated on what is happening in our crazy family. I love you all and thank you being such a wonderful part of who I am.

Love,
